Australian rallying is set for something special in 2027 with the launch of the Great Australian Gravel Challenge, bringing together two of the country's most exciting gravel rally events — the Pedders Alpine Rally and the Operation Flinders to Fleurieu Rally.

For the first time, competitors will have the opportunity to take on two extraordinary long-distance gravel rallies in the same year, each offering its own unique terrain, challenges and unforgettable rallying experience.

 

Operation Flinders to Fleurieu Rally | 6–11 June 2027

Beginning in the spectacular Flinders Ranges of South Australia and travelling through the renowned wine regions of the Clare Valley and Barossa before finishing on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula, this six-day endurance rally promises an extraordinary combination of challenging roads, breathtaking scenery and genuine adventure.  The Operation Flinders to Fleurieu Rally is supported by the Government of South Australia through the South Australian Tourism Commission’s Regional Event Fund.

Pedders Alpine Rally | 3-5 December 2027

One of Australia's most famous and longest-running gravel rallies, the Alpine returns to the demanding forest roads of the Yarra Valley and surrounds in Victoria. Renowned for its challenging stages, rich history and passionate following, the Alpine remains one of the ultimate tests of driver, co-driver and machine.
